All in the details....

The Thanatar Siege Automata Delta-7 is finally finished. Didnt take as long as the Imp. Knight but still was no quick job! Really happy with the big fella. Tried out a few new techniques and such with him and everything seems to have paid off. I won't be getting any proper photos taken for a few days yet. So here's a wee teaser of some (badly taken on the iPad) photos of some of his details.

C&C always welcome

  3. Thanks very much. He took a while to paint but real worth it in the end. I'll hopefully get some proper photos taken in the next few days and post them up here. Anyone can paint well; just takes some time, patience and never stop learning. If you ever have any questions, please feel totally free to ask :)
    Thanks for stopping by :)

  4. I'mp curious to see the whole things. Your teasing really catches my attention. Looks like another great mini.
From what I can see, I think you can push your light sources a little bit more, technically the center should be white or almost white so it really works.

  5. Hey there Minus. Hopefully get the full and proper photos taken today or tomoro and then I'll post them up here. The armour's colour scheme is for a dark ashen grey so I didn't want to push the highlights too far towards a light grey or even a white. This guy so so too heavy that he casts his own shadow down onto the legs so I kept their highlights a little more shaded than further up on the body. The grey armour on his mortar and head I pushed closer to a light grey as light would be hitting them directly so they needed a greater contrast from the shadows to the highlight.
